They were a pleasure to work with - listened to me very well, were responsive and creative through the process, and came up with a web site that is perfect for me. Before opening the doors of The Hype Lab in 2009, Paul worked in agencies and internal design departments, where he built, maintained and grew brands. The decision for The Hype Lab was easy. Small businesses form the backbone of America, and Paul knows that they need the same level of marketing expertise that large corporations get, only without the high price tag.
Paul is a geek. Plain and simple. He gets excited about anything from new typefaces to gadgets, but it doesn't stop there. He is also a geek for food, his dog and the beach. He is always looking for the next big thing on the horizon.
Monique's true passion is effective communications. Over the past ten years she has used that passion and her Writing and Publishing degree from Emerson College to be a communications specialist, a writer, and a Web project manager. Monique balances Paul's free-spirited creative flair with her own grounded sensibility. She wears several hats at the Hype Lab, including account executive, financial officer, content developer, and information architect.
When not at the Hype Lab, you can find Monique giving safe computing advice to members of the MIT community, taking the family Weimaraner on long walks through the woods, working on a novel, traveling to Europe to visit her Dutch relatives and wearing bananas on her head.
Ella takes on many roles here at The Hype Lab and insists she is always in the mix on every project. From inspiring the Lab staff on a daily basis to ensuring there is a proper work/life balance, Ella does it all. She makes us all remember to smell the flowers. Her experience may be minimal, but she touches every project that we have done at the Lab.
Outside of her role at The Hype Lab, she enjoys devouring rawhides, sleeping, fetching tennis balls, and sticking her head out of car windows.
